As part of a privileged opportunity, I was tasked with reimagining the Bachelor and Master Degree Certificates for the UAS Kaiserslautern. The concept driving this redesign draws inspiration from the university's current logo, which offers a simplified representation of Rhineland-Palatinate while resembling a fingerprint.
The central idea was to incorporate the fingerprint's lines while portraying the geographical areas significant to the university. UAS Kaiserslautern spans three campuses across Kaiserslautern, Pirmasens, and Zweibrücken. To visually connect these campuses with the Certificate, abstract versions of the topographic maps representing each location were added as lines at the top of the Certificate. The positioning of the university's logo directly corresponds to the respective campus locations.
At the bottom of the Certificate, precise coordinates of each campus are included, providing an accurate geographical reference. Additionally, the Certificate proudly features the Coat of Arms of both the city and the state, celebrating the local culture and heritage that shape the educational experience. This design not only recognizes the achievements of the graduates but also serves as a visual tribute to the university's diverse and significant locations.
